The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has announced the phased implementation of the e-Invoicing initiative, starting from August 2024. Detailed guidelines have been released to offer comprehensive step-by-step instructions on key e-Invoicing aspects.

The e-Invoicing mandate applies to all taxpayers engaged in commercial activities within Malaysia, covering both domestic and international transactions. This initiative encompasses various transaction types, including business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), and business-to-government (B2G) interactions.

1st August 2024

Mandatory for taxpayers with annual turnover or revenue of >RM100 million

Note: Taxpayers can voluntarily participate in the implementation at an earlier date, regardless of annual turnover or revenue

Remicle - Sample 1 for three columns

1st January 2025

Mandatory for taxpayers with annual turnover or revenue of >RM25 million and up to RM100 million.

1st July 2025

Mandatory implementation for all other taxpayers.
